"I LOVE COLOUR"
Turning Black into Colour….
Turning Black into Colour….
So by now I am sure that you can see that my theme for this season is colour… I love it!!
However, there are those days where I head straight for the slimming black dress. Whether it be a casual style or a 'knockout' to wear on the town, I always feel very seductive wearing black. But there is no need for black to be lacking in colour, hello…. Accessorise.
In the past 2 blogs the focus has been on keeping it subtle but no need when wearing black. Opportunity to go crazy with your favourite colourful accessories…
Creeping into summer there is already a flood of colourful shoes hitting the stores. These cobalt flats in particular are just gorgeous. But if the colourful shoes scare you, remember you can always rely on a neutral cork heel wedge or classic espadrille.
I have just recently discovered a gorgeous local jewellery designer, Ruby Olive, who specialises in colour. Don’t be afraid to wear 2 necklaces at a time or combine different colours.
To complete the look is the bag…. For a casual look I like to go with a bigger style shoulder bag and for evening, small and elegant is the trick. If you have chosen colourful shoes, just go for a hint of colour. But if you kept it more neutral with a cork shoe or espadrille choose something bold. For the dressier look with the ballet circ, you can’t go past the classic black clutch. This will keep the focus at the colour in your necklace and your gorgeous smile.
So, although I love wearing my black dresses there is something really transformational and happy about colour.
You can’t help but feel lighter and brighter instantly.
Spring is here ladies let the colour begin!
