The Style
Shakedown
brings you the second blog in the series of Leina Broughton style tips……

Simple yet sophisticated.

Introducing the current season Josephine, the Shaped Josephine.

The Josephine has been a huge hit as it fits beautifully around the bust and then has soft subtle pleating under the bust to soften the mid section.

BERRY PRINT

DOVE

The soft dove colorway is incredibly elegant and the print is vibrant and fun for summer.

So what suits who…?
The print is particularly amazing on brunettes with the splash of purple fuschia against the white background. The dove works on all hair colours but in this recent parade, the gorgeous blond Bridget looked stunning in the dove. The dove is also perfect for redheads….

Shoes??

Of course the nude is a no brainer and would work perfectly with these styles but on a “research day trip” (by that I mean shopping day!!) I discovered there are also lots of beautiful soft tones outside nude that are available, delish.

With this style I would avoid going too chunky with the heel. I love the chunky strap detail but keep the heel a little more slender, I think this can add a bit more of a softer touch.

This gorgeous blush tone would look amazing with the dove. The soft grey is just a great alternative to nude and the olive, just heavenly with the print Josephine.

As this style is so fitted around the bust area I would keep accessories to a minimum. To me, really beautiful shoes and a great bag is all you need for this one. If you do decide to add jewellery remember less is more!

This dress is all about highlighting ‘you’ as the main feature, so beyond the accessories…

A subtle seductive smile and a woman who owns her own style will rock this dress J

The Style
Shakedown

Is delighted to bring you the first blog in the series of Leina Broughton style tips……Leina’s designs have been styled on Gorgi Coghlan from The Circle, recording artist Mama Kin and the cast of Winners & Losers, so we hope you find them useful.  Prepare yourself for a style-over!

It’s all about confidence…

For the next few blog posts I’ll be doing, I thought I would focus on a few specific styles and give you some style tips but also on what body shapes can rock the dress and how to accessorise.

I had to just start with the Double Layer Centre Contrast Dress with berry or fern centre, this been such a hit dress.

I can see you all flinching about the tiny wee waife that would be seen in this style but… no!!
This dress is ALL about confidence and curves. Rather than about the size it is more about your shape. The double layer finish means it conceals the lumpy bumps and highlights the curves…

As it is a fitted style it works best on someone who has boobs, booty and a shaped waist! If you are a bit thicker through the waist you might need to add in a belt to create the waist shaping. I love this grey marle belt…

Shoes?? Well my motto of the season must be nude, nude, nude. They go with all the colors in your wardrobe and take the focus away from your feet… As this is such a statement dress, I think try these elevated wedges. They take a little while to get used to but are a great alternative to get the height without the wobble!

Accessories?? If you go ahead with the wedge, a single color resin bracelet is spot on. Maybe try the green or otherwise a clear color is a great addition to your wardrobe. Like the nude shoe, it goes with everything…

Just remember beauty comes in all shapes and sizes but the best thing in your wardrobe will always be your confidence…

Big smile, strong walk, head high and own your look!!

The Style
Shakedown...

This week our favourite fashionista Joelyne aka The Sydney Girl gets us in the mood for Spring by showing us how to jus jus up your favourite pair of wedges. This look can be done easily by anyone at home and has a really pretty summery effect, perfect for Spring Carnival….

What I used: Pink Suede Wedges from Greece | Pink Wool | Crochet hook | Pink Faux Flowers

I've always loved the idea of adding flowers as accessories. So I thought I'd try it, and it's so simple to do. All I did was crochet a band for the flower to wrap around, and tied it around my ankle. You can even plait it if you can't crochet.
What do you think? Do you like it? And would you wear this look in Spring/Summer? I will be! :-)
