Striped Jersey Circ dress

This style is one of my favorites at the moment. The stripes are so enticing and the splash of red at the waist gives this dress a marine French feel. The jersey is soft so easy to layer and also transition from Summer into Autumn. For a summer look use nude accessories and for transeasonal try mixing it up with classic black.

Jacket ideas:

For transeasonal keep it clean with a soft-cropped leather jacket with ¾ sleeve. If black is not your style try tan leather accessories and remove the red belt.

Bag:

There are a few different looks that will work but texture is definitely a nice contrast against the soft jersey of this dress. Try to avoid bags with ‘bling’ for this style. As with the jacket not everything has to match. When there are slightly different tones it makes your style appear more effortless…

Shoes: 

The key is to keep it simple! Nude or black is best for this look. If wearing a peep toe make sure you highlight the red on your toes. I think wearing a red shoe with this style is too matchy with the belt and detracts from the main feature of the stripes.

                   

But you really do have to try this style on to feel the fun of wearing it. The circular skirt is flirty and feminine and you will definitely turn heads in this one.

Leina Broughton launched her self titled label in September 2010 and has been gaining a following of women from all ages, types and sizes ever since. Why else would Mamma Jugs from the Kyle and Jackie O show fame chose to wear only these designs for her publicity events…. Door121 the online media portal reported in December 2010 “The range is perfect for work-wear and will attract a lot of media attention” and recently Leina was flown to Melbourne for the final audition of “Project Runway” where the panel told her “She had perfectly captured her target market and had a fantastic product”.

With reviews like these this label is one to watch.

Raconteur, meaning storyteller is pure freedom of expression brought to you by the lead designer of Effigy49, Jade Dockary.

The label was dreamed up while Jade was on the beach in Byron Bay, wanting to stay there forever collecting driftwood and feathers. She took those little pieces of inspiration back to her home on the Northern Beaches in Sydney to begin this accessories/art label. This self expression and creativity sees Jade create what she likes and when with no reasons or boundaries, no ranges, no deadlines. So far the label has produced handmade leather bags with embellishments….who knows what else she will do next!
