Leina Broughton Loves To ‘Fit’

Leina Broughton launched her self titled label in September 2010 and has been gaining a following of women from all ages, types and sizes ever since. With figure shaping fits, extreme comfort, and elegance applied to every design her customers keep returning season after season for her fresh and exciting mini collections.
The simply ‘great’ fit to these garments is all thanks to the designer herself – Leina who has been cutting patterns and working with Australia’s most iconic labels for the last decade including; Nicola Finetti, Tim O'Connor, Josh Goot and Lisa Ho. This impressive combination of pattern making experience and design expertise ensures that her creations are both classic and contemporary with a key focus on fit, quality and style.
Why else would Mamma Jugs from the Kyle and Jackie O show fame chose to wear only these designs for her publicity events…. Door121 the online media portal reported in December 2010 “The range is perfect for work-wear and will attract a lot of media attention” and recently Leina was flown to Melbourne for the final audition of “Project Runway” where the panel told her “She had perfectly captured her target market and had a fantastic product”.

With reviews like these this label is one to watch.

New art in accessories line - Raconteur by Jade Dockary

RACONTEUR - http://www.raconteurbyjade.com/

Raconteur, meaning storyteller is pure freedom of expression brought to you by the lead designer of Effigy49, Jade Dockary.
The label was dreamed up while Jade was on the beach in Byron Bay, wanting to stay there forever collecting driftwood and feathers. She took those little pieces of inspiration back to her home on the Northern Beaches in Sydney to begin this accessories/art label. This self expression and creativity sees Jade create what she likes and when with no reasons or boundaries, no ranges, no deadlines. So far the label has produced handmade leather bags with embellishments….who knows what else she will do next!

That 70's Show makes waves in Surfection

Effigy49’s 70’s inspired AW2011 collection has been taken on by surf giant Surfection!

Sister act Jade Dockary and Amber Johnson have come a long way since selling hand screen printed t-shirts and singlets in a high street boutique in London’s Wandsworth. With their latest collection quirkily titled – “That 70’s Show” set to explode into the three signature Surfection stores right across Sydney.

This 70’s inspired collection captured the interest of the surf giant as it has every girl’s winter wardrobe covered. Offering retro day wear right through to sexy and edgy pieces for the night owls. The styles are all designed for layering which is perfect for the Australian winter. And they won’t disappoint the girl who likes to stand out from the crowd with statement pieces such as the Kesha vest, Nepalese Poncho and Radioactive tights to ensure she makes an entrance……

Whatever your fashion flavour this collection offers pieces that will be staples for any girls wardrobe for many seasons to come.
