Cilla Creative welcomes the amazing Leina Broughton to our family!!!


"New Zealand born designer, Leina Broughton, brings an impressive combination of experience and expertise to her label. Her designs are both classic and contemporary with a key focus on fit, quality and style. 

After a successful career in Production Management roles, Leina established her own Pattern and Technical Consultancy in Sydney 2001; Pattern Central.
Her client list included some of Australia's leading designers; Nicola Finetti, Tim O'Connor, Josh Goot and Lisa Ho.

Following Pattern Central she was recruited by Country Road to work on their recently launched brand TRENERY.

Leina launched her "Mini Collections" in September 2010. A clever concept releasing injection collections every 2 months, keeping the styles available fresh and exciting. Leina has had an impressive response to the concept and her designs. Creating clean lines and an ability to design flattering and functional pieces for the Australian woman"

Cilla Creative has just launch their new wing of the agency named "Cilla's Closet".

The Closet will showcase and specialise in dressing and styling celebrities and identities!!

We had the pleasure of dressing the cast of the new MTV show "Freshwater Blue" for the ARIA Awards in November!!!

Fashion Palette feat; Guanabana and Effigy 49

On Saturday morning the Cilla Creative team ventured to the Overseas Passenger Terminal to see the Fashion Palette runway shows that featured both Effigy 49 and our new label Guanabana!

Guanabana gave the lucky audience a peak at their winter 2011 range which hasn't even hit the stores yet, while Effigy 49 showcased their Summer 2010 range!

New Label on the Block!

Cilla would like to take this opportunity welcome the amazing label Guanabana to the team!

"The highly inspired label “Guanabana Designs” is the brainchild of Norwegian designer, Linda Bergskas, who based herself in Newcastle, Australia in 2001.

Guanabana was originally the name of Linda’s first boutique, named after her Diamond Python “Guana Miss Bana” who used to live in the boutique. Guanabana is also the name of a tropical fruit, also known as Soursup, it is similar to a custard apple.

Launched in 2007, Guanabana is already making waves in the Australian fashion scene with its bold vision of relaxed glamour and high-end bohemian style.
The avant-garde label has made modern exoticism an art form, consistently blurring the line between artistic expression and fashion.

Bergskas delivers an effortless fusion of kaleidoscopic colour, prints, beading and adornments.

Not only was this a great opportunity to show Newcastle our fab designers but it was all held in the name of charity!

Melbourne Fashion Exposed Wrap Up

Cilla and Pepe showed how amazing their range really is and added some much needed cheekiness to the runway shows of the Fashion Exposed!

A great 3 days was spent introducing C&P to Melbourne, and with a great response we hope to continue  showing the sexy lingerie and sleepwear to Victoria!

We celebrated the launch of our new online store last Thursday night at Low 302 on Crown st in Darlinghust and what a night it was! Everyone said the band was amazing and the food to die for, not to mention those lethal Midori cocktails which were so sweet and delicious it was very hard not to drink more of them! A big thankyou to Emma and Fiona from Cilla Creative, our beautiful models, to Midori for sponsoring the cocktails and to Costa Rae! Take a peek at some of the snaps below....
